Oscar and Elmo will be ready to leave their goat mama on March 28th! There is so much to do around here to get ready: a meet-and-greet with the goat veterinarian, visiting the feed store for hay and bedding, designing a goat house and pen, and preparing our canine monster Dash to be a gracious and kind host.Unlike gentle Fenway, Dash flips out if he so much as glimpses a furry friend on TV. We solicited the help of a dog trainer, who introduced a surprisingly calm Dash to her mellow German Shepherd dog. This was encouraging. We're working with Dash on ignoring distractions. I'm sure it will take days if not weeks to slowly introduce Dash to the goats, but we are hopeful that all four-legged family members can happily co-exist.
